November 27th, 2001 - Random Thoughts…
Real quick, here's what's on my mind:
If you cut the deck first; can you make a split-level house of cards?
Golf… is it exercise or just an activity? Really, is anyone fooled into believing that golf is exercise? I’ll accept that there is physical activity involved. But taking out the trash involves physical activity too, and no one considers that to be exercise. Let’s all stop fooling ourselves, and trying to fool each other. Golf is nothing more than a skillful physical activity that takes up about four hours of your day, and gives you a bunch of stories to share with your friends and an excuse to drink together. End of story.
Here’s something that I hate. When people start to enter a place, and stop in the middle of the doorway. You know this phenomenon? You’re going to a meeting, or into a deli, or bar or even a friend’s house and as soon as the person ahead of you gets through the doorway, they stop – just inside. So now you’re standing either outside, or right in the middle of the doorway like a moop and you’re stuck. Would it kill you to go through the doorway and into the room so that the rest of us could enter too?
The right side of your brain controls creative thinking. The left side of your brain controls logical thinking. When you sleep on your right side, gravity causes more blood to congregate on the creative side of your brain. Do you think that's why I think this stuff up on mornings after I’ve slept on my right side? It's something to think about.
Well those are just some random thoughts for today.
