If your cell phone rings when someone wants you, and then you can talk to them; then why do some people have both cell phones and pagers? Why do some people have more than one cell phone? And another thing: Why do you need a phone that can deliver text messages to you? Isn’t voicemail good enough? Once the technology is there to send you text messages, how soon is it before someone starts sending you text advertisements?
Bears live in the woods; people build their homes in the woods; people get attacked by bears; people complain to the state about the bears; people come out and shoot the bear for being a nuisance. It’s a good thing the bears didn’t have guns when the people first showed up in the woods.
How come we can find the gene that causes premature baldness, but we can’t find the Al Quada leader, and his band of merry men?
So I figure thousands of years ago everyone lived in the lush, fertile lands near the tropics. As things got crowded people started moving around. Some north, others east, south and west. As people went north they probably noticed it got colder. But I’m sure they thought that the whole world had gotten colder. Again things got crowded and people moved even further north. Again, they probably thought the whole world had gotten even colder. Until one day there are people living at the furthest northern point at which human beings can survive. But I can understand why they stayed there, because they probably thought that the whole world is just like that. What I can’t understand is that now other people have gone that far north, met the people living there and told them that the whole world is not a solid sheet of ice. That there are places that people live where they are not under the constant threat of hypothermia. And yet, THEY STAY THERE!!
And seriously, once and for all – Who IS buried in Grants tomb? Anyone?
