I've decided that if I ever own a restaurant I'm going to specialize in breakfast. Afterall breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
So the other day the topic came up and we tried to name as many "Internaional" breakfast foods as we could think of. The only rules were that the food had to have a country name in it.
So here is what you can expect to get when you order the "International Buffet" at Billo's Breakfast Restaurant:
Spanish Omelet
Belgium Waffle
English Muffin
Canadian Bacon
Columbian Coffee
Swiss Miss
Jewish Apple Cake
Irish soda bread
Polish Keilbasa
Runner Ups:
Cheerios (From the English)
Country Baked Ham (a little too generic)
Flat Out Rejected:
India Beef
Afghan Pork Sandwich
Honorable Mention:
Madacascar Mash
Honduran Hot Cakes
Hungarian Home fries
British "bangers"
Omish Omellete (egg fresh from the hen, prepared on cast iron skillet in lard served with potatoes and sausage)
And of course if you're in a hurry... have a Danish!
